Introduction

Hi, my name is Philip King, and welcome to this video tutorial on removing Internet Information Services (IIS).

In this tutorial you will learn how to remove (un-install) Internet Information Services (IIS) from your computer.

This is the third of a three part step by step guide on Internet Information Services (IIS) covering the installation, de-activation and re-activation and removal of IIS using Windows XP.

Instructions

  1. To begin, click the Windows Start button.
  2. Select – Setting > Control Panel to select the Control Panel menu item.
  3. Select Add or Remove programs.
  4. With the Add or Remove Programs Window open click the Add/Remove Windows Components button, this opens the Windows Components Wizard window.
  5. Scroll down until you find the IIS component  and de-select the IIS component check box
  6. Click the Next button to remove the files
  7. When configuring components has finished, click the finish button
  8. Close the Add or Remove Programs window.
  9. Close the Control Panel Window.
