I guess, that at some time or other, everyone who thinks about earning money online asks the questions, ” How Can You Get Money“, “How Can I Make Money Online“, “How much money can I earn?” and “How long will it take me to earn money online?”

Well, unfortunately, there is no right answer, no wrong answer and certainly no definitive answer to any such questions. The best answer is, it depends. I know, not the answer you were hoping for, and that’s part of the problem.

The best answer I can give you is this, it depends upon your skill set, how much you are willing to learn and how much effort you are willing to put into the venture. Notice I haven’t said it depends upon how much money you have, how rich you are or how much venture capital you can raise.

• If you have a good idea for a business venture and are reasonably clear about the niche market you will be entering the rest can be learned or obtained.
• The only thing you really need is a computer or access to a computer and of course access to the Internet.

Presuming you know a reasonable amount about computers and the internet, you could learn how to use an application such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla or even just plain HTML and start your own website. Ideally you will have a broadband internet connection but if push came to shove you could even run your website from any public wifi access point. The only time you really need to access your website once it’s setup is when you upload new data and answer messages.

Let’s presume this time that you don’t know a great deal about the internet, but you do know how to use a computer and are willing to learn the rest. • I must admit I haven’t been on the latest course offered by Chris, I met Chris several years ago when his courses were not as sophisticated as they are now.

Before I say anything else about, Chris’s course, let me warn you.

• If you know how to built websites, set up hosting accounts and FTP clients, set up email campaigns, install analytics on your website, create and uploaded videos to the likes of YouTube and know how to write good sales copy (SEO, SEM), etc., then I would not recommend you attend the, Chris Farrell Membership course. You will find it too basic. The course is for those new to internet marketing.

When you view Chris Farrell’s sales video notice he does not promise millions for “little” or “no work”. He’s very upfront and even says it took him six months of due diligence before he started making money.

If you are a newbie, another warning. The member’s area is pretty overwhelming at first glance. Chris presumes you know very little, if anything, about internet marketing so there is a TON of content (as indicated above). Just follow Chris’s directions on where to begin in the member’s area.

• When you login for the first time Chris actually says in his video, “I know this is pretty overwhelming, take a deep breath, it’s all going to be okay”.

Another well know course is run by John Chow (I’m sure you’ve heard of John Chow on your travels), called IM John Chow. I’m told this is an excellent course though I get the impression it may be for the slightly more advanced entrepreneur.

How Long Will it take Me to Earn Money Online?

The answer to the question, How long will it take me to earn money online, is easy. The answer is, it depends. (Sorry about that, but I’m sure you knew that answer was coming).

Let me explain. If you were to start a website selling dog food at competitive prices or with some special nutrients ideal for canines and used one of the many shopping cart applications (several, such as ShopSite, Cashie, Yext, etc. are provided free with JustHost) and PayPal for taking online payments then you could be selling product and hopefully making profits within the week.

• You can setup a simple shopping cart within a few hours and online payments with PayPal within a few minutes.

On the other hand, if you wanted to start a dating website you would need a considerable amount of time building a client database. Unless you had some real incentives or fantastic offers you could be facing a long, difficult struggle to get started considering the number and quality of your potential competitors.

If you went into financial services (loans etc.) you would also have to contend with the relevant laws in your part of the world governing such businesses. Again, this could be time consuming and very costly.

So as I said, the answer to the question, how long will it take me to earn money online is, it depends, on the niche you decide to enter and the strength of your competitors.

How much money can you earn online? How much money do you want to earn? Why do you want money? Is it really the money you want or the lifestyle that being rich can bring? Do you actually want money or do you have another purpose for being rich, maybe you want to build a moon base or be the first person to land on mars or find a cure for cancer!

• My father once said, being rich is having a penny more than you need and that money was only there to serve a purpose not a want. The stress being on need and purpose, not the want.
