Millionaire Mindset, the Possibilities are Out There!
Millionaire Mindset, the Possibilities are Out There!

So you want to become a millionaire. In that case you are probably posing questions such as, to become a millionaire;
- What takes the least effort?
- What takes the least risk?
- What takes the fewest number of years?
- What are the odds of success?
- How can I improve my odds of success?
Is it really a case of work hard, stick with your spouse, watch the kids’ sporting events, entertain your friends, live an honourable life?
Taking Responsibility for the Actions and Decisions You Make
The millionaire mindset starts with taking responsibility for the actions and decisions you make throughout your life and understanding the cause and effect those actions and decisions have on your current and future prospects. Once you begin to understand cause and effect you can change the way you think, you can get that millionaire mindset.
What do You Believe?
Into which of the next two scenarios would place yourself:
Scenario #1
- I am not really responsible for the things that happen to me.
- My lifestyle is the result of my upbringing, my parents, the government, my education.
- You need money to make money.
- You have to work hard to be rich.
- Money is the root of all evil.
Scenario #2
- I am responsible for everything that happens to me.
- I control my thoughts and the actions I take.
- I control my future.
- Money is just a tool.
I want you to ponder how the attitudes in these scenarios influence actions and the results they get. Would you be surprised to learn that scenario #1 is what “poor people” believe (in general) and scenario #2 is what “rich people” believe (in general).
In general people, who have been poor for a very long time or come from a poor (financially) background, refuse to take responsibility for their finances. The do not really understand the banking system, especially when it comes to the likes of credit. They spend thousands using credit cards without any real though of how they can repay the debt or understanding the interest charges they will incur. They will borrow from back street finance sharks and pay thousands of percent in interest charges. They are not really in control of their finances and hence their lives.
Rich people have confidence in themselves and their decisions. They keep control of their lives. They believe in using other people’s money to make money.
Believe in Yourself
The path you life takes is controlled by you. This is due to the belief and mindset you hold to be true at any particular time. This millionaire mindset will determine the actions you take and the actions you don’t take in life.
Although it might seem, on the surface, that everyone wants to get rich (financially), it is simply not true. Being “rich” is a relative term.
- Would you rather be a millionaire locked in a prison cell for life or a general labourer living in Hawaii surfing in the sun with your friends every day?
Acquiring money for the sake of it is meaningless. Money is just a tool. What are you going to do with that tool?
- You could explore space like Sir Richard Branson (Virgin Galactic).
- You could try to save the lives of impoverished children as in the case of Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
- You might want to construct a craft to descend to the deepest place on Earth and explore the ocean floor like James Cameron.
The millionaire mindset is about acquiring wealth in order to accomplish some task. What task do you want to achieve?
How to Get a Millionaire Mindset
Before you can program our mind for success, you need to work at removing our limiting beliefs. Are you sabotaging yourself by placing limiting factors on your life. Learn to think outside the box.
Start by doing the following;
- Stop watching negative TV programs, especially the news. For the most part positive news is not reported. News programming focuses on death, disaster, calamities.
- Screen your literature. Do read personal development books. Don’t read gossip columns or celebrity magazines.
- Do hang out with people more successful than yourself or people that are on their way to success.
- Do acquire a positive, can-do attitude.
- Avoid negative people like the plague.
Millionaire Mindset
Millionaires come from all walks of life. Little things like poverty, lack of education and poor connections hamper them very little. Millionaires were not tops in SAT scores and college/university grades.
- Arnold Schwarzenegger, an Austrian/American actor, politician and businessman, started his career as a weight-lifter. He got his big break in Conan the Barbarian (1982) and The Terminator (1984) making the line, “I’ll be back” a catch-phrase of the mid-80s. He was elected Governor of California and held the office until 2011.
Just remember, not all millionaires are born with a silver spoon in their mouths. A good percentage are self-made millionaires.
You Control Your Fate.
If you have the millionaire mindset you’ll realise that you control your own destiny. Whilst external factors do take their toll the millionaire mindset will enable you to overcome all obstacles and achieve your goal.
Be on the Lookout for Opportunities
Having millionaire mindset means you will be constantly looking for any opportunities that come your way. Not just opportunities to increase your wealth but opportunities to learn. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, knowledge is power.
Don’t look for the garbage, see the gold. Have you heard the phrase, where there’s muck there’s brass (money)? It means there’s a lot of money to be made from business activities that are dirty or unpleasant. How much money do you think there is in scrap metal, effluent, water purification, garbage disposal? It’s not millions, it’s billions.
Love What You do
Most millionaires are passionate about their careers. If you want to get to the top, you have to be dedicated and passionate about your chosen path.
Are you stuck in a dead end job? Do you think staying there will make you a millionaire? No! Then why are you there?
The Millionaire Mindset is All About You
The millionaire mindset is an inner belief. You have to believe in you, no matter what. You will undoubtedly fail, not once but several times. The millionaire mindset is about picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and starting again.
Don’t listen to the voices saying it cannot be done. A professor of mine once said, the great inventors in the world are young because they don’t understand that some things cannot be done. So they do it anyway.
Focus on the Positive
The millionaire mindset is a positive mindset. Push self-doubt and negative thoughts aside.
Be Happy in What You do
Being happy actually opens up more opportunities. It allows you to embrace new experiences. Nobody wants to associate with someone who’s miserable and grumpy all the time. Okay, there will be times when things don’t go as planned. So what. That’s life. Smile and move on.
Avoid the Green-eyed Monster
You are the best there is, there is no-one better than you. Why? Because we are all equal.
The millionaire mindset is not about who has the most money, the fastest jet or biggest yacht. You have no reason to be jealous of other people, so there’s no reason to compete with them either. Just do your own thing.
Envy and greed are a killer of the millionaire mindset. Don’t go down that road.
Millionaire Mindset Conclusion
The millionaire mindset has proven itself to be effective time after time. Now you know the secret, apply that knowledge and enjoy the rest of your life. Your life is what you make of it.
