Ways to Sell More of Your Products on ClickBank

Sell More Products On Clickbank

Are you already a ClickBank merchant? Do you want to be a ClickBank merchant? Are you looking to promote a new digital information product via ClickBank?

If the answer to any of those questions is yes, then one thing you don’t want is to see sales of you digital information product at or near zero.

There are many people selling (or should I say trying to sell) their products via ClickBank only to see dismal to zero sales. Well, listen up, here’s what you should and should not be doing to sell more products on ClickBank…

The Truth About ClickBank Products

Just like you, I’ve visited many, many ClickBank merchant sites over the years and of those sites of interest less than 5% are worthy of promotion.

Most (in my opinion) products listed on ClickBank are, to put it bluntly, simply rubbish. Isn’t it always the case?

What you need to do is make sure your product is not in that category otherwise affiliates will simply not promote your product. Here are the things you need to do…

One Product at a Time

Don’t offer multiple products on the same page. I personally don’t give a second look to ClickBank merchants that offer multiple products on the same page.

Your affiliates need to be able to write a clear and concise product review about your brilliant offering. They don’t want to send their customers to your site only to find a plethora of other products unrelated to the item under review.

By all means have a site that shows all of your products, but for ClickBank have a single page or domain for each product that does not link to your other products.

First Impressions Count

Why do you think stores like Harrods spend so much on their window displays? That’s right, to entice customers into their store. A simple first glance must entice the passer-by to enter.

The moral of the story? First impressions are all important and if your landing page has rubbish graphics and an incomprehensible layout with poor content your visitor will leave immediately.

Don’t use multi-colored backgrounds, miss-matched fonts, gory colors, amateurish design or bolded-capitalised paragraphs.

Amateurish design doesn’t instil visitor confidence. If necessary hire a professional web designer or buy a professionally designed template.

Page Load Times Matter

Don’t overdo large graphic images so making your customers wait for the page to load. Nobody likes standing in a queue! Resize large images if necessary. Try reducing the number of colours used or the compression factor.

Also, don’t force customers to sit through a boring twenty minute video (which, if they’re a returning customer, they will have already seen). Give them an opt-out button.

Write Good Sales Copy

Take the time to write proper sales copy. Don’t assume people will buy your product just because it exists. They won’t! Selling doesn’t work that way. At the very least, you must answer the customers question, “What’s in it for me”. Take a day, a week or even a month, but get sales copy that sells.

Believable Testimonials

Use real, believable testimonials on your product pages. Ask your customers for permission to use their testimonials (preferably with a photo) on your homepage. Real pictures of real people alongside real testimonials will help you sell 10 times more of your products. Don’t write your own testimonials.

No Google AdSense

Never put Google AdSense on your sales page. Remember, you’re selling your product. No affiliate in their right mind is going to promote a product with links off the page for which they do not get paid.

Cut the Hype

This product will save you “millions?”. Give us a break. You’re customers don’t earn millions. Be realistic and truthful at all times.

Make Your Sales Link Obvious

Your goal is to get the customer to click the purchase now link so make that link obvious. Don’t hide it amongst text or a confusing graphic. A clear “buy now” text or large button is all that is needed.

Help Your Affiliates

Give your affiliates a few nice images of the product they are going to promote. A few well produced banners would also go down well as would a few select descriptions and technical specifications.

One Payment Processor

Use only one payment processor on the ClickBank affiliate page. Putting multiple payment processor links alongside your ClickBank links is a sure way to get ignored by your ClickBank affiliates. ClickBank accepts PayPal, use it.

Affiliate Sign Up Links

Don’t put your affiliate promotional material on your home page. Be discreet. Putting, “become an affiliate and make 70% commission” on your homepage distracts your customers and will lose you sales. Keep your affiliate sign up to a simple “affiliates” link in the footer.

Make Sure Your Affiliate Sign-up Link Works

You would be surprised at the number of affiliate sign-up links that don’t work. Be warned, affiliates will not spend time trying to resolve poor links. They’ll just assume the rest of the sales process is equally bad and move on to greener pastures. Losing you sales.

Promote on ClickBank

Make sure your product shows up in the ClickBank Marketplace and offers at least a 50% commission for affiliate sales.

Affiliates are more inclined to promote a product with 50% commission and a gravity of 900 than a product which pays 25% and has a gravity of only 3. You must give your affiliates some incentive to promote your product.

Do a Spell Check

Do a spell check. You don’t want people to immediately assume insufficient care and attention was given to your product. They’ll go elsewhere.
