AdSense, Getting AdSense Approved, Installing AdSense

AdSense, Getting AdSense Approved, Installing AdSense Introduction

Presumably, as you’re reading this article, you either own or manage a website, blog, or forum (or intent to) and want to add Google AdSense so you can earn a little money from your content.

Well, in this article you will learn how to do just that.

What is AdSense?

In answer to, what is AdSense, AdSense is a free way for website publishers of all sizes to earn money by displaying context related Google AdSense ads on their website’s content pages.

  • If you require more than traditional web analytics, try ClickTale. ClickTale’s analytics service is qualitative and provides a full video playback option for each individual visitor’s session. In addition, it uses meta statistics to create visual heatmaps and behavioural reports, as well as conversion analytics and traditional web statistics. For more information see my ClickTale review.

How AdSense Works

The first thing you need to know is how AdSense works! AdSense works by placing context related Cost-Per-Click (CPC) ads that will generate the maximum revenue on your content pages. Each time an ad is clicked the website publisher (you) earn a small commission.

AdSense delivers ads which are relevant to the content of your page and delivers text ads, display ads, link units and high-end mobile ads precisely targeted to your site and your site content. The better the match the more chance your visitors will actually find them useful.

How to Get Google AdSense Approval

So, how to get Google AdSense approval! Well  Google and Google AdSense have a set of standards, and whether you like or agree with them or not, you have to abide by them. It’s their game, so you play by their rules.

I’ve read lots of people complaining about not getting AdSense approval, and in every case it seem they are not following some very simple rules of thumb to get AdSense approval easily and quickly.

  • Implement your website with at least twenty pages of good, unique content.
  • Wait 6 months before applying for AdSense approval.
  • Add new content (don’t copy other stuff) at lease once a week. Get some visitors and traffic flowing to your blog, otherwise, even at 6 months you won’t get approval.
  • Make sure your site works! Sites that returns “invalid site content” are unlikely to get approval.

It is not possible to get AdSense within 5 minutes. Anyone saying they can get you Google AdSense approved in this time is scamming you.

Generate and Copy the AdSense Code

To implement an ad unit or search box, you must first generate the AdSense ad code in your AdSense account.

  • The AdSense ad code is the HTML you place on your site, so allowing ads to be shown at a specific place in a page with a specific ad layout format.

To create a new AdSense ad unit that you can manage within your account, sign in to your account at http://www.google.com/adsense and then follow the steps on the Create an ad unit help page.

After you’ve customised the appearance and settings of your ads or search box, the code you generated is displayed in the Ad code box.

This is the code you will copy to each of your website pages. Note: If you also use Google Analytics, this AdSense code needs to be placed before the analytics code for Google Analytics to work correctly.

AdSense Ad Placement

With your ad code ready, it’s just a matter of dropping the code into your pages at the required position. If you’re a WordPress user you may like to read my articles, AdSense for WordPress without Plugins and AdSense for WordPress, Best Plugins for AdSense.
